HR Generalist & Senior Administrator

We are now seeking an HR Generalist & Senior Administrator to provide quality assistance and support to our Autism Adelaide team.

The Role:

The HR Generalist Senior Administrator:

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications and maintains current certifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
    Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to salary, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Clinical Director and serve as the key point of contact for the Autism Adelaide office
  • Performs other duties as required.

About you:
You are adaptable and resilient, have a positive and person-centred approach, qualified and motivated with experience in HR and administration. You will run the daily functions of the HR and office administration including hiring and interviewing staff and enforcing company policies and practices.

This is a hands-on role, suitable for active individuals. Above all else, we seek team members who strive to develop genuine relationships with not only the people they support but also other staff members.

Essential:
As the successful applicant, you will have:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
• AHRI membership a plus.
• Experience within the disability sector and the NDIS will be highly considered

Occupational Therapist
Adelaide
Healthcare & Medical – Physiotherapy, OT & Rehabilitation
$90,000 – $120,000 + super

The Role:

The Occupational Therapist forms part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for supporting clients with the delivery of Occupational Therapy supports within Autism Adelaide.

The Autism Adelaide Occupational Therapist will provide:

  • Providing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions and client focused program
  • Ongoing evaluation and review of client progress in line with their plans
  • Conducting assessment, prescription of aids and equipment to improve independent living skills
  • Educating caregivers and family members of clients on quality care to our clients
  • Help building the team and participate in the evaluation and development of policies and procedure
  • Working collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team (SP, Psychologists, BSP)
  • Maintaining professional knowledge and technical progress to provide clients with the best treatment program available

Essential Criteria:

As the successful applicant, you will be an Occupational Therapist that has:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and hold a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration
  • Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with clients with a lifelong disability
  • Ability to assess patient condition and work with treatment plans
  • Experience in disability or the not-for-profit sector
  • Excellent knowledge of NDIS framework
  • Excellent knowledge of the Disability Quality and Safeguard Commission framework
  • Ability to build and work to KRA’s and KPI’s
  • Ability to work autonomously and build proactive team environments
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

As a condition of employment, you will also be required to be in possession of:

  • Have a car and current driver’s licence
  • Current NDIS Worker Clearance
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Police Clearance (within 6 months)

Speech Pathologist

The Role:

This role is suitable for new graduates as well as experienced therapists!

The Speech Pathologist forms part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for supporting clients with the delivery of Speech Pathology supports within Autism Adelaide.
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist who want to become holistic, neurodiversity affirming clinicians who are passionate about achieving client goals! This is the ideal opportunity for new or experienced clinicians, where support and provision to develop areas of interest is greatly supported!

Essential Criteria:

As the successful applicant, you will be a Speech Pathologist that has:

  • Tertiary level Speech Pathology qualification.
  • Hold or be eligible for current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Knowledge of formal and informal assessment tools, AAC assessment and implementation and intervention options relevant for people with a disability, their carers and others who support them.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to person centred practice.
  • Demonstrated skills in consultancy, education and training and direct service provision, including the ability to work in partnership with other allied health professionals, carers, agencies and community groups to support individual inclusion.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by the ability to interact and negotiate with a wide range of people (participants, suppliers etc.) on a daily basis.

Review of applications:

All applications will be carefully considered for shortlisting to interview within 2 weeks of the application.

The selection process at My Therapy Australia is based on how well each candidate meets the advertised selection criteria, the background of each applicant and how each best fits within our culture and values.

Interviews:
All shortlisted applicants will be contacted by phone and may be asked a similar set of questions which are derived from the selection criteria. Selection for interview will be based on the written application and responses to questions during the phone interview.

If the phone interview is successful, the applicant will be invited to a face-to-face interview where they will meet the clinical team lead. The team lead will discuss with HR whether the applicant will be successful and offered the position.

Reference Checks:
We will require two satisfactory reference checks and will provide you with a set of questions to provide to your elected referees. If possible, please ensure your referees have worked with you previously in a supervisory position or in management. The recruitment process will only continue upon the receipt of two satisfactory reference checks.

Offer:
The successful applicant will be notified and offered an employment contract pending the required clearances and certifications, which are outlined in the original job advertisement, first and second interviews and at the offer of employment.
